American triathlete Matty Reed’s breakout year came in 2008 when he won the US Olympic Trials, was named USAT’s Elite Athlete of the Year, and competed in the Beijing Games. A year later, he went on to win the Life Time Tri series, and he is a 3-time Life Time Tri Minneapolis winner.
The 6’5” dad of three – born in New Zealand but now an American citizen – is renown for his height and nicknamed Boom Boom for his speed. He focuses on 70.3’s, but to also help others do so through his MR Coaching.
